Diego Laxalt's first words after sealing Celtic transfer as he makes A.C. Milan Europa League vow

Diego Laxalt says he can't wait to link up with Olivier Ntcham once again as he sealed his move to Celtic.

The 27-year-old finalised his season-long loan from Milan on Deadline Day as Neil Lennon completed his left-back search.

The Uruguayan is raring to go and is looking forward to meeting up with his teammates, including Ntcham who he played with at Genoa.

He said: "I’m extremely happy to have signed for a club that is very well known around the world. It is a club with a lot of tradition and I can’t wait to get out on the football pitch.

“I can’t wait to get training and get to know everyone here. My aim is to deliver good results and achieve all the objectives. I’ll always give my best and I hope to have a great season.

“I can’t wait to see him and play with him (Olivier Ntcham) again. Olivier is a great player and a great person as well.”

Laxalt will come up against his parent club Milan in the Europa League group stage, but the full-back says his 'head and heart' is with Celtic.

He added: "It’s just a coincidence that they’ve been drawn in the same group, but at the moment my head and my heart are with Celtic and I’m going to try to do my best, no matter the opposition. My heart is now with Celtic.”

Laxaltisthe first Uruguayan to become a Celtic player and insists it's an honour.

He said: "I realise I’m the first one. I’m extremely happy about that and I hope to leave everything here at Celtic.”
