Diego Laxalt Celtic future 'decided' as Milan put on notice over summer stance

Celtic will not look to buy Diego Laxalt outright in the summer, according to an Italian report.

The Uruguayan moved to Parkhead on loan from Milan in the summer, having been a long-term target of then manager Neil Lennon.

While initial impressions were positive the left-back has struggled at times and was hooked at half-time in the Scottish Cup loss to Rangers.

While there's no manager or sporting director in place for next season, Tuttosport reports that Celtic will not look to do a permanent deal for Laxalt.

According to the sports daily he is one of three players who Milan are expecting to return to San Siro in the summer.

Mattia Caldara will not be bought outright by Atalanta, with right-back Andrea Conti to come back from his loan spell at Parma.

None of the trio are thought to have a long-term future with the Rossoneri but it appears Laxalt's next permanent destination will not be Celtic.
