Jose Mourinho is looking to add to his Tottenham Hotspur squad ahead of the start of the 2020/21 season.
Spurs have already signed Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton, as well as free agent Joe Hart, and are closing in on the signing of Matt Doherty from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, the Republic of Ireland international may not be the only new addition at Spurs in the next few weeks.
Former Chelsea striker Diego Costa the latest name to be linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
According to the Daily Star , Mourinho has been offered the chance for a reunion with the striker, who has been put up for sale by Atletico Madrid.
The 31-year-old played under the Spurs boss during their time at Chelsea, and has already delivered his verdict on the Portuguese tactician.
"Obviously, working with [José] Mourinho puts you in a great position," he told Portuguese TV network Sport TV four years ago.
"These years with him were good. The last year [wasn't], since we weren't getting results on the pitch and things weren't working as expected by everyone.
"And some stuff happened, but nothing too serious.
"My relationship with Mourinho... I say this to everyone, 'every person has a good and a bad side'.
"But Mourinho and I had a good relationship. He always joked with us, gave us plenty of freedom, he talked with us...
"He was someone who also listened a lot.
"There were a lot of good things. So when I look back, there were a few moments that I made mistakes; plays which I shouldn't have made given all the love and respect he gave to me.
"Thus, I have nothing against him. If there is someone who should have something against someone is Mourinho himself [towards me].
"And I believe he doesn't have that.
"I had a good rapport with him."
