Die of Death Killer Tier List

In Die of Death, playing as a killer can be pretty challenging when you have to face off against smart survivors. Now, each killer in DoD has a set of unique abilities, which make some of them significantly better than others. With that in mind, we prepared the following Die of Death killer tier list to help you spend your points wisely and unlock the best killers first.

Tiers Explained

S-tier: Consistent killers that are viable on basically every map and perform well against most abilities.

A-tier: Great killers that struggle slightly on specific maps or require a lot of skill to play them efficiently.

B-tier: Situational killers that can be good on certain maps.

In the above tier list, we ranked every killer in Die of Death based on how good they are overall, taking into consideration their overall mobility, chase potential, survivability, and viability on all the maps currently available. Even though each killer can perform very well in the right hands, Killdroid and Pursuer top the tier list because of their versatility and beginner-friendliness.

Below is a list of Die of Death killers, in which you can find out their strengths and weaknesses. If you need more information about the abilities of a specific killer, make sure to check out their info panel in the in-game Shop.

Pursuer

PURSUER

Max Stamina: 110
Walk Speed: 10
Sprint Speed: 27
Health: 1000
Playstyle:
Rushdown: Constantly pressures survivors with high mobility and relentless pursuit tactics.
Cost: Free

Pursuer is the killer you have unlocked by default. However, it being free doesn't mean it's weak by any means. If you manage your stamina effectively, the Pursuer can be an excellent choice even against experienced survivors. It has two melee attack abilities, a decent AoE slow, and an ultimate ability that grants you invisibility and vision of all civilians on the map. With that said, Pursuer is a fantastic pick, especially against inexperienced players.

Badware

BADWARE

Max Stamina: 120
Walk Speed: 10
Sprint Speed: 23
Health: 1337
Playstyle:
Snowballer: Starts slow but becomes increasingly powerful as the game progresses, overwhelming survivors with accumulated advantages.
Cost: 500P

Badware has a playstyle similar to a trapper, as its speed is the worst among all killers. Before you attempt to hunt down a survivor, it is best to set up computers around the map that buff your speed while in their range. Besides the basic Swing attack, Bedware has access to a charging sprint that turns him into a walking hitbox, dealing damage to anyone it comes into contact with. The ultimate ability, Rift, grants you incredible mobility, as it allows you to teleport to a PC you already set up at the expense of destroying it. Still, this makes Bedware a fantastic choice for maps of all sizes.

Artful

ARTFUL

Max Stamina: 90
Walk Speed: 9
Sprint Speed: 26
Health: 680
Playstyle:
Resource Management/Trapper: Controls the battlefield through strategic placement and careful resource allocation.
Cost: 700P

Artful is a killer with the highest skill ceiling on our Die of Death tier list, as good game and map knowledge is necessary to play it to its full potential. Also, it is better suited for small maps, due to its trapper playstyle. It only has the basic Swing attack, while his other abilities allow him to create walls and music boxes that can block off survivors and slow them down.

Artful's ultimate, Repurpose, allows him to "pocket" an already placed wall, music box, or a civilian they hit with it. The pocketed wall can be thrown out, dealing damage on impact, while the music box can be used to increase your movement speed temporarily. Pocketing a civilian doesn't cause them to disappear. Instead, you can throw out a puppet of them that will try to hunt down any nearby survivors.

Harken

HARKEN

Max Stamina: 114
Walk Speed: 9
Sprint Speed: 26
Health: 400
Playstyle:
Resource Management: Specialist who excels at strategic decision-making. Requires careful planning and efficient use of abilities to maximize effectiveness against survivors.
Cost: 880P

With the lowest base HP of all killers and a very risky playstyle, Harken can be particularly challenging for beginners to play. All of Harken's basic abilities damage opponents, CC them, and generate some amount of Noise. By filling up the Noise meter, you can enter the Enraged state, which significantly increases your movement speed and limits your Max Stamina at the same time. To remain in this state, you have to keep generating Noise by attacking survivors and using your abilities. As a last resort, you can use Immolate to generate a massive amount of Noise and gain another movement speed boost. However, you will lose 25% (100) of your total HP in the process.

Killdroid

KILLDROID

Max Stamina: 140
Walk Speed: 10
Sprint Speed: 24
Health: 900
Playstyle:
Zoner: Controls space and limits survivor movement options. Excels at area denial and forcing survivors into unfavorable positions.
Cost: 1000P

Killdroid is arguably the most versatile killer in Die of Death. It is the only killer currently available that has a ranged M1 attack, and its passive allows it to move through map barriers, which can be deadly for the player as well. Killdroid's Flight enables you to fly and shoot auto-aimed rockets at survivors, while also being a great mobility tool. With Deploy, you can place up to three killbots, which deal very high damage to civilians who stay in their range for too long. Detonate is a risky move to pull off, as it causes the killer to take 125 damage. Still, it can be great for taking out multiple survivors at once.

How to Become a Killer in Die of Death

The players with the highlighted Evilness score can become the killer in the next round.

At the end of each round in Die of Death, the player with the highest Evilness on the server becomes the killer, and their Evilness resets to 1. Now, most survivor interactions, such as stunning, blocking, tricking, and taunting the killer, increase your Evilness. Therefore, if you want to play as a killer frequently, you need to adopt a risky playstyle as a survivor. Also, successfully surviving for 60 seconds in a round gives you a one-time bonus of 1 Evilness.

How to Earn Points and Unlock Killers in Die of Death

Points are the main currency in Die of Death, and with them, you can unlock new killers and skins for them. You can grind them by shooting, taunting, punching, stunning, blocking, and escaping from a killer as a survivor. Healing other players with the Caretaker ability and surviving rounds also grants a decent amount of Points. While playing as a killer, you can earn points by killing civilians and winning rounds.

That concludes our Die of Death killer tier list. Let us know in the comments below which killer you think is the best and why. For more of our Roblox guides, feel free to visit the Roblox hub here on Destructoid.
