The movie about coming back from the dead returns
Happy Death Day 2U is the sequel to the surprise 2017 hit movie of repeating twists and comic turns. In the first movie, Tree Gelbman gets stuck in a time loop where she dies every day, but then wakes up in the morning as if nothing had happened. This time, Tree discovers that dying over and over was surprisingly easier than the dangers that lie ahead.
At the end of the last movie, Tree saved herself from death at the hands of her roommate Lori by kicking her out of a window. Tree’s never-ending birthday was finally over, and she managed to start a new life. Or so she thought.
Tree’s friend Ryan has spent his college years building a machine designed to prove that time can be slowed down to a molecular level. Tree realises that the machine has brought havoc to the world, and she must fix it for good. The only problem? Tree’s stuck in a parallel version of her actual world.
It’s up to Tree to use the lessons learned from dying 11 times to find her inner badass and save everyone.
