Didier Ndong could be set for Turkey move after Ligue 1 relegation with Guingamp

Trabzonspor want Didier Ndong this summer, according to reports in Turkey.

The Turkish Super Lig club are said to be interested in the Gabon midfielder, and our offering him a big pay increase despite the fact he recently suffered relegation at Guingamp.

Ndong only joined the French side midway through last season after an agreement was finally reached with Sunderland over the termination of his contract with the Black Cats.

Ndong breached his contract on Wearside when he failed to report back to the club for pre-season last summer, along with defender Papy Djilobodji who also joined him at Guingamp.

But after failing to keep them in the top flight in France, both are likely to depart as quickly as they arrived, with Djilobodji out of contract and likely to be released after barely featuring. Ndong had more game time, but couldn't stop his side's demise.

Despite that, reports in Turkey suggest Trabzonspor, who wanted Ndong when he was still at Sunderland, are very keen to take him there this summer.

So much so that reports claim they will increase his salary from €960k-a-year to €1.5-a-year.

The Turkish side are said to be in negotiations with Guingamp over a fee for the 24-year-old who has one year left on the 18-month deal he initially signed. The French side had to pay Sunderland some compensation to sign Ndong.
