Did your MP vote for or against giving hard working nurses a pay rise?

The NHS and Britain's caregivers have been among the heroes of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Every day they put themselves on the front line in harm's way to keep us and our loved ones safe.

The country has shown its appreciation in a number of ways, from the war veteran raising millions by doing laps of his garden, to people doing the weekly clap for carers on a Thursday.

MPs have also been keen to show their support as well.

One problem with this though is that when the time came for our elected officials to give people on the frontline a pay rise, they found that their arms couldn’t reach that far down into their pockets.

The issue came to a head on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday.

Piers Morgan was interviewing Care Minister, Helen Whately, in an exchange that went viral.

One of the lowlights of the interview was the minister dodging the question on whether or not she was among the 323 MPs who voted down an amendment to the 2017 Queen’s Speech which aimed to "call on the Government to end the public sector pay cap and give the emergency and public services a fair pay rise."

Basically, to give a much needed pay rise to people such as nurses and other NHS staff whose annual pay rises for NHS staff were still capped at 1% a year.

Well, as it turns out, she was among those 323 MPs.

Using our interactive gadget you can see how every MP voted back in 2017.

Simply enter the name of the MP or the constituency to see how the vote went.

Please note though that if you search by constituency it will return who the MP was at the time, not who it is now.
