Did you spot the northern lights?

The northern lights – also known as aurora borealis – were seen in the night sky across the UK on Thursday night. The spectacular light displays, caused by the collision of electrically charged particles with the earth’s upper atmosphere, were seen across Scotland, northern England, and in some parts of Wales and Norfolk.
