Rajveer Deol, the younger son of actor-politician Sunny Deol, is set to make his first Bollywood splash with filmmaker Sooraj R Barjatya's 59th home production (untitled yet), the makers had announced.
The film, a coming-of-age love story, will be directed by Avnish S Barjatya, Sooraj Barjatya's son. Avnish has also written the film.
What has slipped the attention is that this is the same film from the Rajshri Productions stable that was first offered to Kartik Aaryan and then to Meezaan Jaffrey. A source says, "It is a mystery why Kartik and Meezaan didn't do the film. It all seemed set when Kartik was in talks and ditto when Meezaan. However, now everything is settled. It's Rajveer. The rest of the cast is soon going to be worked out. As for the female lead opposite Rajveer, it will be a new girl."
Sunny Deol's elder son Karan made his acting debut in the actor's directorial venture 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas'.
