Did you know Ranveer Singh's look in 'Lootera' was inspired by a Hollywood and a Bollywood star?

Ranveer Singh had garnered a lot of praise for his performance in ‘Lootera’. Apart from his performance, it was his style sense that had gained a lot of eyeballs. Did you know that his look in the film was inspired by a Hollywood and a Bollywood star?

During a promotional event, Ranveer revealed that his unique look in the movie was an amalgamation of James Dean and Dev Anand. The actor added that these were the two references that director Vikramaditya Motwane used to send him.

Elaborating further, Ranveer added that he was immensely happy that his clean-shaven look garnered attention. The actor added that he got many messages appreciating his look in the film, especially from his female fans.

In another throwback interview, Ranveer had revealed that he has stapled his stomach in real life to be able to depict the pain of a bullet hit on the screen. According to him, he was a very raw actor at the time and was exploring his craft. The actor added that even when he was an AD on the set, he was given menial jobs so he would be away from the sets.

Meanwhile, on the work front, he will next be seen in Kabir Khan’s ‘’83’ where he will be seen essaying the role of cricketer Kapil Dev. The film also has Deepika Padukone playing his onscreen wife Romi Dev. The actress has also co-produced the movie.

Apart from this, he is also reuniting with his ‘Simmba’ director Rohit Shetty for ‘Cirkus’ co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma in key roles.

He has also been roped in for the official Hindi remake of Tamil film, ‘Anniyan’. The original film starred Vikram in the lead role.
