BMW Motorrad USA recently announced its motorcycle customer race support program for the 2025 racing season. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as "Buy a BMW superbike and we'll support your racing efforts". But, hey, something is better than nothing, and there are a helluva lot of manufacturers doing nothing in this regard.
The purpose of the Customer Race Support & Contingency Program is to reward outstanding MBW customer racing performances in the MotoAmerica Stock 1000 National Championship and key club series across the U.S. during the 2025 racing season.
There are financial rewards up for grabs and remote data support provided by BMW Motorrad USA for eligible BMW racers, too, through BMW Motorrad Race Engineering Support provided by Steve Weir.
In a statement, Steve Weir, BMW Motorrad Customer Racing Support Engineer, said, “After an amazing 2024 season supporting racers across the country with unparalleled results totaling 20 Class Championships, 2 National Championships and the Canadian Superbike Championships, I look forward to supporting BMW racers in what is already starting off to be another incredible season with BMW Motorrad. BMW is the only manufacturer providing this level of race support to amateur, expert, and professional racers across North America. Join us on the grid this year as we dominate the podium at all levels of racing!”
The 2021-2026 R nineT and S 1000 RR models are eligible, while the M 1000 RR is eligible from 2022-2026.
The potential payouts for the MotoAmerica Stock 1000 go from 1st to 5th place and range from $3,000 to $1000. The payouts for eligible series and classes throughout the USA also go from 1st to 5th place, but range from $800 to $200. You can find a list of all the eligible series and classes here.
If you want to enroll in the Contingency Program, you need to complete the New Vendor Process. To start the process and become eligible for Customer Race Contingency Reward Payouts in 2025 and the future, follow this link and submit your application.
