It can't be denied that the topic of Brexit has dominated the General Election campaign in 2019.
Boris Johnson repeatedly promised to 'Get Brexit Done' if he won the election, while the Liberal Democrats went after the staunch Remainers and Labour tried to win voters over with a second referendum.
But the Brexit Party, led by Nigel Farage, failed to win any seats in the election despite its hardline stance on Britain's departure from the EU.
The Brexit Party stood 273 candidates in constituencies across the UK after Mr Farage decided not to contest the 317 seats won by the Tories in the last election.
But the move saw the party crash in opinion polls leading up to the election and Farage's Brexit Party has ultimately failed to secure any seats in the Commons.
However, Mr Farage said he believed the move has prevented the UK from ending up with another hung parliament.
He told BBC News: "I can tell you that if we had stood in every seat in the country it would have been a hung parliament.
"That would have been a disaster. I think the Liberal Democrats would have won an awful lot of seats."
Mr Farage decided no to stand in the election, but the party's chairman Richard Tice was hoping to win a Commons seat in Hartlepool.
Labour's Mike Hill managed to hold his seat with 15,464 votes in the County Durham constituency, while Mr Tice received 10,603 votes - just over a thousand less than Tory candidate Stefan Houghton.
In Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, former Tory MP Ann Widdecombe managed just 2,909 votes.
