Did the Boston Celtics bench prove itself vs. the Brooklyn Nets?

The Boston Celtics defeated the Brooklyn Nets 124-114 on Saturday night, with a solid performance from their bench players. The Celtics’ second unit has been struggling with consistency so far this season, but in this game, they stepped up with 21 points.

Reserve big man Luke Kornet led the way with 11 points and 7 boards. The Celtics’ bench performance was crucial in the second half, as they responded well to a quick Nets’ run after halftime. Contributions from the second unit, including rebounding and defense, were instrumental in securing the win. The Celtics’ starters mixing effective playmakers with the bench players also helped push Boston to the win.

Sam Hauser’s defense and Oshae Brissett’s rebounding also put forward what might have been the strongest defensive bench performance of the season so far.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast took some time to talk over the bench on a recent pod; check it out above!
