It looks like there may be trouble in paradise for celebrity couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, as Bloom is set to attend Jeff Bezos' wedding alone this week.
'Orlando may make his debut as a single man during the festivities,' TMZ reported, citing information from their sources.
Perry and Bloom have been together for nearly a decade, but their relationship has reportedly been under strain in recent months amid controversies surrounding Perry.
'Orlando Bloom is psyched to let loose at the Bezos/Sanchez wedding,' the TMZ report continued, 'and all indications are... he's now a single man.'
A Brief Timeline Of The Hollywood Couple's Relationship
Perry and Bloom first met at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2016 and confirmed their relationship on Instagram a few months later.
Around a year into dating, the couple briefly split. Fans speculated about the break-up when the two arrived separately at the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscars Party and barely interacted during the event.
They remained friends and officially rekindled their romance in 2018.
In 2019, they got engaged and moved in together. The following year, they announced that they were expecting their first child.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they postponed their wedding in 2020 and later welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.
Since then, the couple appeared to be going strong—until a series of controversies involving Perry reportedly caused friction between them.
Poor Album And Tour Reviews + Blue Origin Flight Controversy
The past year has been publicly challenging for Perry.
Her latest album, 143, released in September 2024, received lukewarm reactions from both fans and critics.
Variety's Steven J. Horowitz said 143 'strips away the remnants of the perky personality that catapulted Perry into early 2010s superstardom.'
Meanwhile, Pitchfork's Rich Juzwiak wrote, 'The material here is so devoid of anything distinguishing that it makes one suspicious it's a troll or cynical attempt at the campy realm of so bad it's good.'
According to PEOPLE, insiders revealed that the backlash had a negative impact on Perry's mental health and her relationship with Bloom.
'It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension,' a source said.
In April, Perry faced additional criticism for participating in Jeff Bezos' all-female Blue Origin space flight. Netizens questioned the environmental impact and the lavish expense of the launch.
Later that month, Perry kicked off her global The Lifetimes Tour, which has received mixed reviews. While some fans praised the show's high production value, others criticised its execution and lack of cohesion.
Have Bloom And Perry Split?
Bloom recently flew to Perth to celebrate their daughter's fourth birthday, as Perry is currently in Australia for her tour.
However, sources told Page Six that the couple has already ended their relationship. 'It's over. They are waiting 'til her tour is over [in December] before they split,' the source claimed.
Bloom is expected to attend Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding in Venice this week without Perry by his side.
While her absence could simply be due to scheduling conflicts, it will undoubtedly fuel further speculation about the status of their relationship.
