Did MLS's New England Revolution really just win the Super Bowl?

It seems that the talents of New England Revolution have gone unappreciated too long. Far from being content with losing to LA Galaxy in the MLS Cup final, they dusted themselves off and went on to win Sunday night’s Super Bowl.

A bunch of soccer players pulling off an unlikely victory against the might of the Seattle Seahawks defense, some of whom are twice the size of their opponents, went scandalously unnoticed by most of the media.

That is, until New England’s friends across the Atlantic at the Daily Mail, gave them the publicity they so richly deserved.

The Revs were quick to acknowledge the Mail’s publicity:

Of course, the Mail may have got things confused and meant the New England Patriots, who beat the Seahawks 28-24 in Arizona on Sunday. But that would be hair-splitting.

Look out for future exclusive stories in the Mail, as Derek Jeter leads the Chicago Bulls to victory in the Stanley Cup final.
