There's surely no where better to bring in the bells than Edinburgh, where the world-class Street Party takes place every year.
But on a night that is typically filled with drinking and requires you to stay up until at least 12pm, it's not the most family-friendly night of the year.
That's why Underbelly are once again hosting their Bairns Afore event in Princes Street Gardens on 31 December, giving families the chance to celebrate their own Hogmanay in the early evening.
The best part is that this year's event will be headlined by legendary comic duo Dick and Dom, who will battle it out behind the decks to see whose tunes are the best.
The 60-minute musical battle will be topped off with a spectacular "midnight" fireworks moment… at 6pm, so you can get the kids home to bed before the late-night party-goers start to emerge.
Tickets cost between £8.50-£21.00, which can be bought from the Edinburgh Hogmanay 2019 website here. Children under two do not require a ticket.
Doors will open at 4.00pm and you can enter via The Mound at the Floral Clock, the west end of Princes Street by St John’s Church and King’s Stable Road.
