Dias and Foden start - Man City predicted line up vs Arsenal

Manchester City will be without Kevin De Bruyne for Saturday's game against Arsenal but should start record signing Ruben Dias after he made his debut against Leeds last time out.

City have made their worst start to a league season since 2010/11 - winning one, drawing one and losing one of their opening three games - and Pep Guardiola confirmed De Bruyne would miss the game against Mikel Arteta's men after sustaining a muscle injury on international duty with Belgium.

He said: "Unfortunately Kevin is out but the rest of the players come back well. I don't think it's much but the next games he will be out. We'll see day-by-day."

In De Bruyne's absence, Phil Foden could start in midfield alongside Ilkay Gundogan with Rodri providing support to the back four.

Behind the midfield trio, Guardiola should start Dias alongside Aymeric Laporte in the centre of defence after the Portuguese made his debut against Leeds. The City boss will need to decide whether to stick with Benjamin Mendy at left-back or use Joao Cancelo who impressed for Portugal. Kyle Walker should retain his place at right-back.

Guardiola confirmed Sergio Aguero is back in training but the game against Arsenal could come too soon for the Argentine. The 32-year-old could make an appearance off the bench if he proves his fitness.

The City boss also added that Gabriel Jesus will be unavailable due to a muscle problem. He said: "There is some injury in muscles you can take a risk but there are other you cannot, Gabriel has an injury in the front part of his leg, if he aggravates this we will lose him for a long time."

With the Brazilian sidelined, Riyad Mahrez and Ferran Torres should flank Raheem Sterling up top.

Manchester City predicted XI vs Arsenal: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo; Rodri, Gundogan, Foden; Torres, Sterling, Mahrez.
