Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth by Jeff Kinney – review

Jeff Kinney, The Ugly Truth (Diary of a Wimpy Kid)

I think The Ugly Truth is a fantastic book. If you like a type of book that makes you laugh out loud then it's definitely the book for you.

Greg Heffley is going through new changes in his life, he is growing up faster than he thought he would. In this book Greg is experiencing different awkward, weird changes in his crazy, funny life and could it get any better? NO WAY!!!

He then has a big fight with his very best friend – Rowley, who you wouldn't believe seems to be having a far better time than Greg. Also as always Greg's selfish mean brother (Rodrick) is still the same horrible person he has always been. Suddenly, it is not looking too good for Greg…

I'd rate this book 9 out of 10 because of the funny, entertaining way the book is. I took one star off because, although it is very funny, it sometimes gets over the top. My favourite character in the book has to be Manny (Greg's little brother) because he is always misbehaving but gets away with it!
