Diarmuid Connolly a long-shot to feature in Dublin GAA team this year, according to bookies' odds

Diarmuid Connolly is a long-shot to feature for the Dubs again this year, with a return to the side being valued at 15/2 with Boylesports.

Connolly hasn't featured for the boys in blue since left for Boston in March 2018, where he won the championship with Donegal Boston.

There were hopes of the key player’s return following the Gangsta’s Paradise rapper ‘Coolio’ saying he would love to see Connolly back wearing the blue jersey.

Coolio said ihe would tell him “Diarmuid, look, they want you to come back to the team man, they need you, Dublin is counting on you - come on back and do what you do!”

With Rory O’Carroll returning to the Dublin side this year, this only propelled hopes of another key return.

Sarah Kinsella, spokeswoman for BoyleSports said: “Jim Gavin once again offered Diarmuid Connolly the chance to return to the Dublin team and fans were half expecting to see him line up in their clash against Louth last month.

"Rapper Coolio has sparked new rumours of Connolly’s return with BoyleSports making is a 15/2 chance that the St Vincent’s man will make a surprise return and play for Dublin again this year”.
