Diane Keaton posted a sweet snap of her beloved dog in her last post on Instagram before her shock death on Saturday.
A representative of the Hollywood legend shared her passing in a short statement, news which rocked fans across the world.
The Oscar-winning star, 79, shot to fame after playing Kay Adams-Corleone in Francis Ford Coppola’s seminal film, The Godfather in 1972.

Keaton played the girlfriend of Al Pacino’s Michael Corleone, the success of which led to reprising roles in the film’s following two instalments.
She went onto star in Woody Allen’s 1977 classic Annie Hall, which won her the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1978.
Keaton went onto enjoy a decorated career, starring in films like First Wives Club, Something’s Gotta Give, Father of the Bride and The Family Stone, making her a household name.
The death of the actress sent shockwaves through her fanbase, many of which flooded her Instagram with messages of condolence on her last post.
In the shot, Keaton poses with her pet Labrador in a post promoting her retail company Hudson Grace.
The post is captioned: "Proof our pets have great taste too! Happy National Pet Day from HG & @diane_keaton. #nationalpetday."
The photo was posted on April 11, exactly six months before her shock death on 11 October.
One fan commented: "A true legend. Thank you for your talent, your animal advocacy, your immeasurable charm. You will be missed."
And another typed: "Dearest Diane, I will miss your style, humor and grace. You are a true queen who paved the road for so many. We love you."

Throughout much of her career, Keaton was associated with former director Woody Allen, who was shunned from much of mainstream Hollywood due to sexual assault allegations.
She remained a supporter of Allen even after the accusation by Mia Farrow that he had abused their adopted daughter, Dylan.
Sharing the news of her death, a spokesperson for the star said: "There are no further details available at this time, and her family has asked for privacy in this moment of great sadness."
