Diana Ross to play Glastonbury Legends slot

Glastonbury Festival has announced that Diana Ross will play the legends slot next year.

The Motown star, 77, will take to the Pyramid stage on the Sunday of the 2022 edition of the festival..

Glastonbury's Twitter account posted on Tuesday (9 November): "We are thrilled to announce that @DianaRoss will play the Sunday legends slot on the Pyramid Stage at #Glastonbury2022."

Festival organiser Emily Eavis tweeted: "I’m thrilled to be able to let you know that the magnificent @DianaRoss is coming to play at @glastonbury next summer.

"We were so excited to book such a legend for Glastonbury 2020 and are so happy that she's the first to re-confirm for next year."

It will be the 'I'm Coming Out' singer's Glastonbury debut.

She will be following in the footsteps of previous legends such as Tom Jones, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and more.

Ross rose to fame as the lead singer of the Supremes in the 1960s, who went on to become the most successful American performers of their time.
