The day 1 of Mumbai's biggest fashion extravaganza turned out to be one stylish affair. The grandeur of maximal forms, lushness of colour, and splendour of rich details come together today in Indya's new collection for the upcoming festivities on the first day. Exuding lustre with lightness, grace with glamour, and effervescence with elegance—the line brings to life Indya’s signature riffs on timeless classics that are thoughtfully re-imagined with a generous dose of whimsy.
Full-bodied lehengas, sensuous pre-stitched saris, jumpsuits that are as functional as they are fluid, vibrant shararas and swinging capes showcased were designed with playful flourishes that indulge the wearer. With plunging backs, exaggerated sleeves, pleats and tiers—each style was totally contemporary, and timeless.
The fabulous show was opened by singing sensations, Sukriti & Prakriti and closed by Diana Penty.
Intricately detailed embroideries and embellishments were woven together on a tapestry of vivacious colours. Coatings of sequins, mirror work in modern geometry, gotapatti in traditional motifs, and mesmerizing gilded prints spell all-out glamour. Finished with laces, tassels and fringes, the ensembles were a sight to behold.
The clothes were paired with Giva's new line of jewellery that was inspired by the vibrance and grandeur of Indian festivals.
