SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said in Dharamshala on Wednesday that Asian Development Bank will help build an international convention centre there for Rs 150 crore. He also talked about the new Dharamshala-McLeodganj ropeway worth Rs 207 crore.
He said that being an international destination now, Dharamshala was a fitting place to hold international conventions and events. He laid foundation stones and inaugurated schemes worth Rs 63.37 crore in Dharamshala. Presiding over the concluding function of Saras Mela at the town’s police ground, he referred to Rs 100 crore grant under Mukhya Mantri Swawlamban Yojna for self-employment ventures in the state in the last three years. He claimed that the scheme had been productive.
