DGCA imposes ₹10 lakh penalty on Air India

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) imposed a fine of ₹10 lakh on Air India for its failure to provide hotel accommodation to passengers affected due to flight delays, as well as for not compensating business class passengers on international flights who were assigned malfunctioning seats.

The regulator said that the action followed inspections carried out at Delhi, Kochi, and Bengaluru in May and September.
