Nottingham taxi firm DG Cars has expanded its business with the acquisition of another local firm.
The family business has acquired Hucknall-based Arrow Cars East Midlands and its East Midlands Airport operation.
Toby Metcalf, digital marketing manager for DG, said the move would add another 50 to 100 vehicles to the firm's 1,000-plus fleet.
DG Private Hire has been trading for more than 40 years and says it is one of the longest established companies in the East Midlands.
Over the years the firm has grown organically and through acquisition from its origins in a portacabin on a garage forecourt, started by the late Don Greenwood (DG) and Lance Hun. For the last 16 years the Javaid family has run the firm.
Toby added: "We would like to welcome Arrow Cars customers new and old and reassure them that they are in good hands.
