Dexter star Michael C Hall is bringing his band to Swansea's Sin City

He is known worldwide for playing the role of 'America's favourite serial killer' in the hit US television show Dexter.

But Michael C. Hall is a man of many talents, including the world of music, and will be heading to Wales later this year, bringing his band Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum to Swansea's Sin City on December 4.

The star is known worldwide for playing the lead role of Dexter Morgan in the acclaimed series, Dexter, a man with homicidal tendencies, living a double life working as a forensic technician for the police department during the day and killing heinous perpetrators in his free time. He is set to reprise his role in upcoming series Dexter: New Blood.

But he is also a musical talent and a longstanding Broadway performer, having played leading roles in Chicago, Cabaret, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and was selected by David Bowie to star in his musical, Lazarus. He has also earned many accolades for his acting, including an Emmy nomination for his work on the HBO drama Six Feet Under and a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for the acclaimed Showtime series Dexter.

He is the vocalist, lyricist, musician of the band, which is also made up of fellow members drummer Peter Yanowitz and keyboardist Matt Katz-Bohen.

The band released their debut full-length album entitled 'Thanks For Coming' earlier this year which rave reviews from media around the globe.

The official video for current single Nevertheless, directed by cult filmmaker Dylan Greenberg, was premiered by Rolling Stone. Starring the band, the eerie video ventures into the realms of science fiction and transports viewers to a neon-lit, 80s-inspired digital maze overseen by a sinister mind control program, as-portrayed by Michael C. Hall’s disembodied head.

Of the video, he said: "The disembodied head was a component we had in mind when shooting in front of the green screen... But we owe the way it's executed to Dylan's playfulness and intuitive sense of the song. The two-headed footage of me that appears on the TV screen in the video was in fact shot in the shower of my ‘Dexter’ trailer.”

The actor isn't the only famous face from the world of TV who will be performing at Sin City this December.

Wrestling legend Chris Jericho will be performing at the venue on December 10 as he tours the UK with his band Fozzy.
