Devoted father books himself onto all air hostess daughter's Christmas flights so she didn't have to spend it alone

A devoted father booked himself a ticket for every plane journey his flight attendant daughter was working on over Christmas so she did not have to spend it alone.

In a heartwarming gesture, Hal Vaughan decided to join his daughter Pierce, who works for Delta Airlines, on several flights on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The touching story went viral after a passenger who was sitting next to Mr Vaughan on one of the flights shared it online, describing him as a “fantastic father”.

In a Facebook post on Christmas Eve, Mr Levy wrote: “I had the pleasure of sitting next to Hal on my flight back home. His daughter Pierce was our flight attendant who had to work over Christmas.

“Hal decided he would spend the holiday with her. So, he is flying on each of her flights today and tomorrow around the country to spend time with his daughter for Christmas.

“What a fantastic father! Wish you both a very Merry Christmas!”

Mr Vaughan reportedly travelled with his daughter on six plane journeys, flying from New Orleans to Detroit, to Fort Myers, back to Detroit, then to Hartford, Atlanta and Denver.

Ms Vaughan shared the viral Facebook post on her own timeline, tagging her mother and saying: “Look ma we made it”.

She added a message of thanks to Mr Levy for “being a great first class passenger and helping us to understand how cool this actually is!”
