Devon Still re-signs with Bengals after great news about daughter Leah

March 19--Devon Still was waiting for some good news before committing to another season with the Cincinnati Bengals

He got just that on Tuesday, when doctors told him they saw 'no active disease' in his 4-year-old daughter Leah, who has been battling pediatric cancer.

That moment you get the best news you've ever received and don't know what to do so you just flex!! We got Leah's MIBG Scans back tonight and the doctors told us they didn't see any active disease in her body!!! We still have to wait for her MRI and bone biopsy results later this week. But the doctors feel very optimistic about them because of the results from today. So for now we celebrate!! #LeahStrong #PrayersWork #ThankYouEveryOne #ImSoHappyIFeelNumb #BeatCancer #NotCancerFreeYetButWeOnTheWayThere

The Bengals had a standing offer on the table for Still. Two days after getting the positive results from Leah's tests, Still signed the one-year deal to spend a fourth season in Cincinnati.

The story of Still and 4-year-old daughter Leah, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in June and had a tumor removed from her abdomen, captured hearts around the NFL last season. Still was originally signed to the Bengals' practice squad last season just so he could keep his benefits and salary to help pay for Leah's treatment.

He eventually made it back on to the team and played in 12 games, including one in November during which Leah was able to attend in person.

While ecstatic over Tuesday's news, Still warned on Twitter that more challenges remain.

Leah is NOT cancer free just yet. But this test showing no evidence of active disease in her body is a huge step in that direction!
