Devin Singletary Agrees to One-Year Deal With Texans, per Report

Former Bills running back Devin Singletary is expected to sign with the Texans on a one-year deal, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday.

Singletary visited with the Texans on Monday, per ESPN’s Field Yates, and the deal came on the same day. The deal is reportedly worth up to $3.75 million.

The running back became a free agent this offseason after four seasons on the Bills. Singletary really shined in the last two seasons, finishing with over 800 rushing yards in both years. In 2022, Singletary rushed on 177 carries for 819 yards and five touchdowns in 16 games. He led the Bills in rushing yards. On top of that, he caught 38 passes for 280 yards and one receiving touchdown.

Singletary will join Texans running back Dameon Pierce, who just finished up his rookie season. Pierce totaled 939 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 220 carries.

Singletary wasn’t the only new addition for the Texans on Monday. Houston also signed former Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz on a one-year deal.

The Texans finished the 2022 season with a 3-13-1 record.
