Devin Bush takes 1st-team reps Steelers OTAs

From the moment the Pittsburgh Steelers traded up to draft linebacker Devin Bush, everyone had him penciled in as one of the team’s starting inside linebackers. Bush’s athleticism and playmaking ability at Michigan was elite and everyone is hoping he brings the same level of intensity and production to the Steelers defense. And after one day of organized team activities, he is already getting a taste of being an NFL starter.

Pittsburgh limped through the 2018 season wishing they had Ryan Shazier. Despite being drafted earlier in the first round, we aren’t ready to anoint Bush as the next Shazier. But in this defense, he only needs to be the best Devin Bush he can be.

The Steelers drafted Bush but also added veteran Mark Barron at inside linebacker this offseason. The two of them together should add a dimension to the Steelers defense they have been missing for a very long time.
