The Pittsburgh Steelers made a great effort to add speed on defense this offseason. Nowhere is this more evident than at the linebacker position where the Steelers traded up to get Devin Bush. Bush ran a 4.43-second 40-yard dash at the combine and looks every bit as fast on the field.
He caught the attention of T.J. Watt. He spoke to Missi Matthews of the team’s official site and she said Watt characterized Bush as “quicker than snot.” Matthews asked Bush about it and while he was unfamiliar with the term but took it as a compliment.
Bush and Watt could end up being the most dynamic linebacker tandem in the NFL. Watt finished 2018 with 13.5 sacks in only his second season in 2018. Bush should be a day one starter and among the more complete linebackers in the AFC.
