A housing developer has made the fourth application to build over 100 homes on a site in a West Lothian town.
The developers, Gladman Developments Ltd, had their bid for planning permission in principle validated by West Lothian Council on April 26.
There have already been three applications denied to develop homes on the site in Linlithgow dating back to 2013.
A previous application by Gladman Ltd was dimissed by the council in 2019 but the developers say they now believe they meet requirments and have submitted legal opinion to this effect.
The latest plans for the land on Clarendon Farm Manse Road Linlithgow include 119 new family homes, roads and paths, with public and green space and landscaping.
The site is located on the south-eastern edge of Linlithgow, adjacent to the grounds of Clarendon House, Clarendon Road and existing residential development at Oatlands Park.
In their planning statement, Gladstone Ltd conclude: “The application demonstrates how a high-quality residential development is capable of being delivered on the site, in keeping with the character of the area and without detriment to the wider environmental, landscape, townscape or heritage assets.
“Given the positive nature of this proposal when assessed against the relevant policy framework and background, we trust that that West Lothian Council may be minded to grant planning permission in principle for this development.”
