Uninhabitable Glasgow villa a 'developers dream' as home goes up for auction

A 'developer's dream' Glasgow property is up for sale for 69k - but is in need of some major TLC to make it habitable.

The two-bedroom semi-detached villa, located on Duncruin Street in the Gilshochill area, is marketed by the sellers as having 'incredible potential for redevelopment'.

On the market with a guide price of £69,000, any successful buyer will need to undertake a full refurbishment of the property to make it suitable for habitation.

The house features two double bedrooms, a spacious living room, full kitchen and bathroom, adjoining garage and garden area - with the potential to be transformed into a 'great family home', according to the listing on property site Rightmove.

The listing also notes the option to convert the garage into an extension for the property - subject to planning consent, which they note adds to its status as a 'blank canvas opportunity'.

As for the location, the proximity to the likes of Maryhill Road, Anniesland Cross, Great Western Road and Byres Road by car means the property is in a 'high demand district' of Glasgow, suggests to the ad.

Photos accompanying the listing show the home in a deep state of disrepair and in need of much TLC both internally and externally, with exposed ceilings, rotting timbers and rubbish strewn throughout the property.

The property will go up for sale by online auction on Thursday, February 10 at 9am.
