A developer has been granted planning permission to turn a historic building in Bristol into luxury flats.
Kersfield bought up Georgian villa Clifton Park in 2018 and will now convert the property into six homes, including five two and three-bedroom apartments and one three-bedroom coach house.
The building, which was constructed in 1850 and later became part of Badminton School, will also have landscaped shared gardens and off-street car parking and cycle spaces.
Kersfield is working with architects, the Nash Partnership, on the conversion plans and work on the property is expected to start in 2020.
Clifton Park will be fully restored as part of the process, including reinstating interior finishes in line with the original design plans.
Work on the property should be finished by autumn next year, according to the developers.
“These large lateral apartments by Kersfield provide a unique opportunity to acquire really spacious homes in a Georgian building with direct lift access to all floors, within walking distance of Clifton Village," said Dan Harris, associate director of Savills Residential Development Sales.
"Such opportunities are few and far between, which is why we have already been approached by a number of prospective purchasers seeking to buy off plan, before they are marketed.”
Clifton Park forms an integral part of the Clifton Conservation Area and is near the Grade II* Listed Clifton Cathedral and Worcester Terrace.
The apartments will be available through Savills Residential Development Sales.
