Devastation as two crooks steal puppy from village back garden

The hunt is on for dog nappers who have stolen a prized puppy.

Now a £1,000 reward has been put up by the devastated family for the return of Bronson.

Crooks snatched the Pocket Bulldog Terrier from a back garden in Kilbarchan.

The five-month-old is then thought to have been bundled into the back of a black Jaguar four wheel drive.

And owner Andrea Steinemann, who looks after Bronson while her son Nathan is at work, said: “We are doing everything we can to get Bronson back.”

Bronson had been in a fully-fenced back garden in Fulton Crescent in the village.

Nathan,23, was inside when the thieves made their move around 5.30pm last Friday.

Andrea,51, said: “My son became aware of it when neighbours shouted that two men had “got your dog”.

“We believe the dog was grabbed and put into the back of a black Jaguar F-Pace and sped off.”

Devastated Andrea is offering a £1,000 reward (Family)

The family have put up a £1,000 reward for “any information that leads to successfully brining our boy home.”

An appeal has been shared nearly 4,000 times on Facebook and Andrea has posted on Gumtree in a bid to get the message out.

She said: “We want to make him too hot to handle. All the family are absolutely devastated.”

Possible sightings have come in as far afield as Glasgow Central station and Johnstone Castle.

Andrea added: “He was possibly seen in the Johnstone Castle area around 12pm on Friday night walking with 4 males, one older with a red cap.

“CCTV footage and dash cam also produced various sightings around Glasgow and Glasgow Central on Saturday.

“The dog appeared to be distressed.”

Police confirmed they received a report about the theft of a dog and said enquiries into the incident were ongoing.

Andrea said: “As time goes on, we still remain optimistic.

“Bronson was on a special diet and receiving medication from the vet, so we are very concerned for his wellbeing.”
