Devastated Stacey Solomon quits social media again after being targeted by 'nasty' trolls

Stacey Solomon is taking another break from social media after feeling overwhelmed by despicable online trolling.

The 30 year old, who shares regular updates on her life, was left so "shocked" at the cruelty of digital bullies that she's decided to put her phone away for the day.

Back in May, she had fans worried as she told she'd be stepping back from her online presence for a time "for personal reasons."

Stacey left fans heartbroken as she dropped the news this morning, sharing a snap of her hand holding that of baby Rex and a quote from Roald Dahl's The Twits.

Stacey told she reads the book to Rex, one, as well as Zachary, 11, and Leighton, seven.

"Good morning. From my favourite book I read to the boys," Stacey penned.

"'A person who has good thoughts can never be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.'"

Stacey added: "Having a strange morning this morning.

"Some days I just wake up on the wrong side of my brain...I always do my best to ignore nastyness because deep down I feel sorry for people who want to hurt others or try to bring them down...I feel awful for how sad they must be deep down.

"But some days it's not so easy to ignore and the nastyness gets in. All part of being human I suppose.

"Anyway I'm going to put my phone in the drawer again today and shake it off."

Stacey offered a hopeful message to fans: "Will be saying to myself on repeat today...we rise by lifting others & dulling someone else's sparkle will NEVER brighten their own.

"The truth of what's on the inside will always show on the outside."

Earlier this year, Stacey announced: "I'm going to come off social media today for personal reasons.

"I really hope you're all ok. I love you all. Look after yourselves."

She later told that the family had been having a rough time after partner Joe Swash's beloved nan died.

Joe had been unable to attend the funeral amid lockdown.

Last week, Stacey temporarily ditched Instagram because she felt "lethargic" following a mad shopping spree.
