The family of a man whose body was found in Leeds have paid tribute to him, saying his loss has deeply saddened them. Anthony Crosswaite, 49, was reported missing from his home in Rothwell on Sunday, August 21.
Shortly before 1am today (Friday, August 26), a member of the public reported finding the man in a wooded area next to the M62 near Thorpe Lane in Tingley.
A force spokesman said: "A body believed to be missing man Anthony Crosswaite has been found in Leeds. "Mr Crosswaite, aged 49, had been reported missing from his home in Rothwell on Sunday night. Shortly before 1am today, a member of the public reported finding the body of a man in a wooded area next to the M62 near Thorpe Lane, Tingley.

"While formal identification is yet to be confirmed, it is believed to be Mr Crosswaite. His family have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and the Coroner’s Office has been notified."
Anthony's daughter Keelie Crosswaite paid tribute to her father, and thanked everyone that helped with the appeals to try and find him.
Keelie said: "Can we start by saying a massive thank you for everyone that shared our posts and everyone that went out independently to look for our dad.
"We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of not just our dad but our best friend.
"Everyone that knew and loved our dad is devastated beyond measure.
"He will be absolutely buzzing with the picture and applause at Elland Road.
"We have been inundated with messages of condolences and support for our dad he was so loved and he’s now touched the hearts of strangers too that’s how much of an impact he had on people.
"We have seen the true meaning of M.O.T
"Truly unforgettable"
