Devastated Katie Price 'inconsolable' as Harvey 'moves into residential care'

Katie Price is said to be gutted that her son Harvey has reportedly moved into residential care last week.

According to New! magazine , the mum-of-five was "incosolable" when the 16-year-old apparently moved out of her family home, and felt "utterly lost and devastated".

Although she was sure the supposed move was the right decision, she is said to be struggling with him no longer being around all the time.

"He's about an hour's drive from Katie's house so it's not just like he's around the corner and that's a big deal for her," an insider told the publication.

"She's massively emotional about it. She's in pieces".

Harvey –who is partially sighted, autistic and has genetic disorder Prader Willis syndrome which means he is hungry all the time – will now reportedly only return to her home on weekends.

Meanwhile, Katie also has to share  Junior, 13, and Princess, 11 with first husband Peter Andre, and Jett, five, and Bunny, four, with Kieran Hayler.

This means that the former glamour model will have to face several nights of the week without any of her children for company.

Last month, Katie revealed she had no choice but to consider putting Harvey in care (Instagram)

"She has five kids and yet she's sitting in that big house all alone," the source added.

"She's beside herself and feels totally lost".

Katie's difficult decision to put Harvey in care comes after she called residential homes "evil" in an interview she gave back in 2013.

In a chat with the  Guardian  six years ago, Katie insisted: "He'll always live at home. He's not leaving me."

However, she made the difficult decision after admitting Harvey was becoming harder to care for as he entered his teens.

She revealed her son had scared the other kids by smashing up windows, TVs and eight iPads this year.

After saying that her son wet the bed twice a night, she also showed host Victoria Derbyshire the bag of pills she carried around for him and said that without them he would die.

"It's a danger to himself and for the first time ever now I'm thinking he might have to go residential from Monday to Friday.

"Because he knows if he kicks off then the driver won't take him to school, he's sussed that out and he's missing out on his education.

"He just wants to be with me all the time."
