Devastated Edinburgh family pay tribute to 'wonderful' brother after his Cowgate death

A devastated family have paid tribute after a young man was found dead in Edinburgh on Monday.

Today (May 4), the brother of Adam Endsor described him as a "wonderful" man, after his body was discovered at a premises in the Cowgate.

At around 2.15pm on Monday, a number of emergency services had raced to the scene, with the surrounding area closed off to the public for a short time.

Later police confirmed that a 25-year-old man had been found dead, with officers treating the incident as unexplained.

After hearing the news, Adam's heartbroken brother Sean posted a touching tribute online, and described his sibling as a wonderful brother and uncle.

He said: "Yesterday we had the news that Adam Endsor had sadly passed away.

"He was my brother and a wonderful uncle to my four beautiful children. He had a wonderful life travelling around the world.

"He will be sadly missed by his friends and family.

"Rest in paradise until we meet again."

After being named locally, a number of friends also took to social media to pay their respects, reports the Record.

Chris Berry said: "Adam Endsor we will miss you!! You were a good friend who was always there with a smile and a laugh no matter the situation. Edinburgh wont be the same without you mate! RIP!"

Other pals shared their fond memories of 'one of life's nice, funny guys' online.

One said: "Oh my old friend, Adam Endsor, words don't do you justice, just one of life's nice, funny guys, it was my pleasure to have taught you and be friends with you.

"You were a huge part of our pit family, we all adored you totally and will always look back with fondness and love. Love you always."

While another wrote: "Adam Endsor we will miss you!! You were a good friend who was always there with a smile and a laugh no matter the situation. "

And a third commented: "The insane amount of hairspray, the kebabs you never finished and the ridiculous sleeping bag that had arms.

"Thank you for the endless laughs Adam Endsor. RIP"

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers attended premises at Cowgate in Edinburgh around 2.15pm on Monday, 3 May following the sudden death of a 25-year-old man.

The death is being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
