DAVIE, Fla. _ Miami Dolphins receiver DeVante Parker is getting closer to making his return, but it appears the broken finger on his right hand still hasn't healed enough for him to catch a pass.
Parker, who has missed the past four weeks of practice because of the injury he suffered in practice, worked on the side during Friday's session.
Parker, a 2015 first-round pick who has started 24 games for the Dolphins, didn't catch a pass during the 20-minute session the media watched.
He is listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report and will likely be ruled out for Sunday's 1 p.m. game against the Tennessee Titans.
Albert Wilson, a free agent the Dolphins signed to a three-year, $24 million deal, will likely replace Parker as Miami's starting split end. Kenny Stills will be the starting flanker with Danny Amendola the starting slot receiver.
Jakeem Grant, who has been cleared from the NFL's concussion protocol, will be the group's top reserve, and the Dolphins will likely put receiver Tanner McEvoy, a newcomer claimed off the waiver wire, on the active roster for Sunday's game.
