Detroit Police Seek Public’s Help in Finding Missing 13-Year-Old Girl

(Detroit Police Department)

Detroit police are asking for the public’s help after a teenager went missing this week. According to officers, Myka Kittrell left her home in the 19300 block of Dresden Street on Monday, 29 September, without permission and never came back. Since then, there has been no sign of her, and concern for her safety is growing.

The Detroit Police Department’s 9th Precinct is now leading the search. They have appealed to residents and anyone who may have seen her to come forward with information. Police say every tip could be vital in helping track her down and bringing her home safely, reported Click on Detroit.

The department has also encouraged people to reach out in confidence to Crime Stoppers if they are reluctant to speak directly with police. Callers can remain anonymous and still pass along information that might prove crucial.

Myka’s disappearance has left her family and friends desperate for answers. For parents, neighbours, and those who know her, the silence since she left home has been unbearable. Officers have not shared further details about her circumstances, but the priority is making sure she is found as quickly as possible.

Community members in Detroit are being urged to stay alert and to think back to whether they may have noticed anything unusual in the area on Monday or since. Even the smallest detail could be important, whether it is spotting someone matching Myka’s description or remembering a passing conversation that seemed out of place.

Disappearances like this can often depend on the eyes and ears of the public, and police stress that no piece of information is too minor to report. The department has emphasised that Myka’s wellbeing is at the centre of the search and that time is critical.

Anyone who thinks they may know where she is, or who has any information that might help, is urged to contact the Detroit Police Department’s 9th Precinct at 313-596-5940. Alternatively, tips can be given anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up.

For the family waiting at home, every call matters. They are hoping the community will rally together to help bring Myka back safe.
