Detroit Pistons to host training camp at Michigan State

With the Detroit Pistons still awaiting the completion of their Henry Ford Health System Performance Center in Detroit, it looks like the team will be heading to East Lansing for Training Camp which begins in late September. Pistons Vice Chairman Arn Tellem announced the news during an hour-long tour of the construction site for the new facility on Friday.

This comes a year after the Pistons held their training camp in Ann Arbor on Michigan’s campus before last season. This is the second year of the Dwane Casey administration for the Pistons.

The new facility was designed by Detroit-based architecture firm Rossetti and is being built by The Christman Company and L.S. Brinker. The 175,000 square foot complex will also hold offices and a full range of training facilities, including retail locations like Blink Fitness and Plum Market.

Anyway, expect a squad of NBA players to be holed up in East Lansing starting towards the end of September.
