Detroit Pistons crushed by Cavaliers, 115-100, for third straight loss

DETROIT _ The Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers said goodbye to NBA legend Kobe Bryant on Monday night.

In the game featuring two teams going nowhere, the tributes to Bryant, who died Sunday, were the highlights at Little Caesars Arena.

The Cavaliers (13-13) ran to an easy 115-100 victory over the undermanned Pistons, who have lost three straight and were 1-3 on the four-game homestand.

"Kobe this, Kobe that, believe me, rest his soul, he would be embarrassed with our non-compete level," Pistons coach Dwane Casey said postgame. "That's what is disconcerting for me."

Derrick Rose, who has scored 20-plus points in 12 straight, missed the game with a sore right knee, joining Blake Griffin (knee surgery), Luke Kennard (both knees) and Tony Snell (illness) on the injury report.

Reggie Jackson got the start after getting a maintenance night off in Saturday's loss to the Brooklyn Nets. He saw action in two games after missing 42 games with a back injury before the night off.

Jackson struggled with 16 points on 6-for-14 shooting in 25 minutes.

Andre Drummond finished with 15 points and eight rebounds for the Pistons (17-31).

Collin Sexton led the Cavs with 23 points, and Kevin Love added 20, which were all scored in the first half. The Cavs scored 64 points in the paint.

The pregame intro started with a video montage of Bryant's final appearance at the Palace in 2015.

Fox Sports play-by-play announcer George Blaha stepped onto Little Caesars Arena court and asked for 24 seconds of silence.

Fans started chanting "Kobe! Kobe! Kobe!"

Pistons players wore custom Motor City jerseys with the Bryant name above the No. 24 or No. 8 during introductions, but wore normal jerseys for the opening tip.

The Cavs won the opening tip, but held the ball to intentionally commit a 24-second violation, to honor Bryant's No. 24.

The Pistons inbounded to Jackson, who didn't advance to intentionally commit an 8-second violation, to honor Bryant's No. 8.
