The Detroit Pistons addressed two needs — shooting and experience — with one signing Tuesday.
Wayne Ellington agreed to a one-year, $2.6 million deal with the Pistons, his agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed to the Free Press. ESPN initially reported the signing.
It's Ellington's second stint with Detroit, as he signed with the franchise after the 2019 trade deadline. In 28 games, Ellington averaged 27.3 minutes per game and hit 37.3% of his 3-pointers. As a career 37.8% shooter from behind the arc, Ellington will give the Pistons a much-needed lift in that area.
The news comes a couple of hours after the Pistons waived Dewayne Dedmon, who they traded for last week.
