Detroit Lions roster cuts: here’s who has been released

We now have all of the major waves of roster moves to get down to 53 players on the Detroit Lions active roster.

The Lions announced the following players (in alphabetical order) were released on Friday:

S Andrew Adams

OL Luke Bowanko

CB Andre Chachere

WR Jordan Lasley

DE Eric Lee

WR Tommylee Lewis

DE Mitchell Loewen

T Ryan Pope

P Ryan Santoso

G Micah St. Andrew

CB Jamar Summers

RB James Williams

They followed that up with a series of moves on Saturday to get to the 53-man limit:

DT John Atkins

LB Malik Carney

TE Jerome Cunningham

OT Andrew Donnal

LB Garrett Dooley

WR Jon Duhart

DT P.J. Johnson

DT Fred Jones, with injury designation

WR Tom Kennedy

WR Andy Jones was waived with injury designation. He will be eligible for the team’s injured reserve if he makes it through waivers unclaimed.

The Lions have the No. 8 spot in the waiver claim order and could add more transactions on Sunday as a result.
