A man was stabbed to death Friday in north suburban Zion.
Police responded to reports of two people fighting about 10 p.m. in an apartment in the 4100 block of Barberry Lane, Zion police said. A caller reported that one of them had a knife.
Officers found a 42-year-old man in the parking lot with a single stab wound to the torso, police said. He was conscious and spoke to the officers.
The man was taken to Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Lake County coroner’s office has not released details on his death. He lived in Waukegan.
A person of interest is being questioned by Zion police.
