Detectives make new appeal to trace man who went missing from Linwood home 11 years ago

A re-appeal has been launched to trace a man missing for more than 11 years.

Edward Dallas, 49, was reported missing from his home in Linwood on March 3, 2010 when he was 38 years old. Leaving his mum Betty's house in Linwood, he lifted cash from the bank and fell off the radar.

She died a few years later without knowing what happened to her son.

Police Scotland has carried out in depth investigations to try and find Edward which have ultimately been unsuccessful, with his family making emotional appeals for his return.

Last year, his brother Stuart said he "sometimes dreams" Edward comes home, saying he still trawls Facebook in the hope of finding even the smallest piece of information about his whereabouts.

At the time of going missing he was described as being 5ft 8, dark hair, stocky build, blue eyes and had a beard.

Edward was known to have a keen interest in photography and Buddhism and traveled throughout the UK to follow these interests.
