Police have released an image of a sex attacker who assaulted a woman in The Mall back in November.

The incident happened at 10pm on Saturday, 21 November, as the woman stood by the South African Royal Artillery Memorial in central London.

The suspect – a man who was seen riding a bike - did not speak to the victim before he assaulted her and then fled the scene.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, reported the incident to the police soon after.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Central West Sapphire Unit are investigating the incident, while the victim continues to be supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Constable Hollie Jenkins, said: “It is really important that we identify this man as part of our investigation. If you recognise yourself or think you know who this man is please get in touch.

“It is vital that we track down the person responsible and I would urge anyone who can help to get in contact at the earliest opportunity.”

Police are urging those with any information to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD7909/21NOV20.

It comes as police are investigating another assault after a woman and her dog were attacked on Hampstead Heath.

The woman, in her 60s, was approached by two men while walking on the heath at around 1.30pm on Tuesday.

The first man is said to have pushed her to the ground and taken her belongings.

Meanwhile, the second man is said to have attacked her dog.

The victim was left with pain in her hips and legs as a result of the incident.

However, she did not require hospital treatment.

Police are looking for two white men aged between 19-27. They were described as wearing caps at the time of the incident.

Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact 101, quoting crime reference 2305223/21.
