At around 3am on March 19, two vehicles were deliberately set on fire in a driveway on Dyfrig Street.

Police have confirmed enquiries are ongoing and any person with information should contact Wishaw CID immediately.

Any member of the public with information can contact officers on 101, quoting incident 0287 of 19/03/20, or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Cruel crooks caused thousands of pounds worth of damage from the Diocesan Centre in Motherwell.

Overnight into February 27, approximately £300 of lead was stolen from the roof of the centre in Coursington Road.

Due to the inclement weather, this caused a further £15,000 of damage to the building

A spokesperson for the Diocese of Motherwell said: “This is a damaging and thoughtless crime which has caused significant damage aand led to expensive repairs.”

A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed that witnesses were being sought in connection with the incident and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Those with information are urged to call 101, quoting incident 1716 of 27/03.20, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 in confidence.
