Detectives appeal for help to put crook back behind bars this Christmas

Police want your help as detectives hunt a crook wanted back behind bars.

Alan Hughes was handed a three year, four month sentence for burglary.

After serving part of that he was released on August 14 of this year.

But within two months the 52-year-old, from Liverpool but of no fixed abode, was recalled to prison after breaching the terms of his release.

Enquiries to find him are ongoing.

Merseyside Police described Hughes, the sixth man to feature in this year's ECHO Festive Fugitives campaign, as a white male who is 5ft 7in tall, of slim build with brown hair and green eyes. He has a Liverpool accent.

Anyone with details of his whereabouts, or those of any of the fugitives featured in the campaign so far, is asked to contact Merseyside Police via Twitter (@MerPolCC), by calling 101, or contacting Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or online here.
